Incentives for people who leave a testimonial.

We've decided not to include a feature where you can directly use giftcards or any other direct form of payment for reviews as we don't want to assosiate our own brand with this. Yet this is very common and we see people using the text box on the thank you page for this as a workaround.
We can do better. This will be a feature where you can leave a coupon right there, in a way better UI, with a discount for your product or service you can add in the dashboard.
There will also be a 'reward' button in the dashboard if you want to send it afterwards using email.

hi! I've been wondering where are you with this one. I'm really interested in this email sending feature as I would like to send some rewards to my students who leave a review. It is so difficult to get some positive reviews, people just leave angry notes when sth goes wrong and when you do a good job, that's normal ;) so we need to be creative. I see that this feature is in the pipeline for like 1.5 years. Any update? Thanks a lot in advance Sander Belaen!

YES! Rewards is a superb way to send out even more requests. I just stumbled across https://senja.io and discovered how they are implementing rewards for testimonies. The option to create whatever REWARD we (or our customers) want to give and how it is presented is really cool. They also have a super nice form builder for collecting, and also many different widgets to embed on websites (also turning testimonials on to well designed images for social posts).
But Socialjuice is such a great product and I do LOVE whatever they design looks so stunning. Just get inspired by Senja and pull the trigger :-)
Oh (just seeing this now), they actually did a product comparison with you guys right here: https://senja.io/socialjuice-alternative

Yes, this is extremely important. Most users don't give any testimonials unless they are incentivized to do so.
Some great examples mentioned by Sander Belaen. Another one I would add is Dropppin.
Thanks!

That makes TOTAL sense. Thanks, Sander!

After long discussions and market research, we've decided to not include gift cards in this feature, as it goes against what we stand for.
SocialJuice aims to make reviews and testimonials more real, and more human.
What we will do is make a response feature, maybe even auto respond.
If you decide to send a coupon code that way, that's completely fair and up to you,
that way, you still have the option to do this yourself.
SocialJuice will not connect its brand with incentivized reviews.

Sander Belaen: I think you should re-consider this, at least for UGC content. I do understand the sensitivity towards a review, but giving a discount, free product or even paying real cash for a client to showcase how he uses the product, what he likes or dislikes, etc, that will enable us to repurpose video content with it, it's not about incentivizing reviews, it's about compensation for content creation.

Another idea on this: Give to user different incentives based on the testimonial type, we can give different gifts for users that submit video testimonial compared to users that submit text testimonial :)

Rodrigo: 2nd this 👍 I currently offer a coupon on the next purchase if a video review is left.

Webhook will help a lot on this feature too!
After a testimonial is submited and we approve it, send those informations to webhook then, with zapier, pabbly connect, and other connectors we can do whatever we want with this user using external softwares. Example:
- Give him a credit in our store automaticly
- Generate a coupon in our application with expiration date for redemption
- Send an ebook using 3rd party app like encharge
- And much more...

Rodrigo: I totally second this! Webhooks will allow us to go straight to, say GHL, and nurture feedback-givers the way we want it. Aint that possible already?

Instead of use external services, just let we add a coupon code for a specific service or product with description and send it to customer will be already a great improvement :)
